BRENHAM SPECIAL OLYMPICS WIN MULTIPLE MEDALS IN NAVASOTA

Brenham ISD Special Olympics (Brenham ISD)

The Brenham ISD Special Olympics Team took part in the Navasota Invitational Meet on Wednesday, and came away with eight gold medals, six silver medals, and two bronze medals.

For the High School:

Adrianna Ballard won a Gold medal in the 10 Meter wheel chair and a Silver in the softball throw. Joe DuBowik won a Gold in the 100 Meter run and a Silver in the 400-gram mini-Javelin throw. Riley Janes took home the Gold in the both the 100 Meter run and the 400-gram mini-Javelin throw. Jacob Mann also won Gold in the 100 Meter run and the 400-gram mini-Javelin throw. Ava Redman won a Bronze in the 100 Meter run and a Gold in the 300-gram mini-Javelin throw.

For the Junior High:

Aaliyah Powell won a Silver in the 100 Meter run, and a Gold in the 300-gram mini-Javelin throw.

For the Middle School:

Trenton Lampe won a Bronze in the 100 Meter run, and a Silver in the 300-gram mini-Javelin throw.

Will Larkin won Silvers in both the 100 Meter run and the 300-gram mini-Javelin throw.

The Brenham ISD Special Olympics Team is scheduled to join with their Unified Teammates next week to take part in the Spring Games in College Station next week Friday and Saturday.
