FAITH MISSION TO HOST EMERGENCY DISASTER SERVICES VOLUNTEER TRAINING MAY 10

  

Faith Mission will host a one-day training for people interested in becoming emergency disaster services volunteers through the Salvation Army.

The session, titled “What’s Your Role in a Disaster”, will be held Friday, May 10th from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Cannery Kitchen, 314 East Alamo Street in Brenham.  It will be led by Alvin Migues, the Emergency Disaster Services Director for the Salvation Army in Texas. 

Faith Mission is a service unit of the Salvation Army and has provided relief in disasters including Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Ike and Harvey; the May 2016 flood; and the COVID-19 pandemic.  Recently, Faith Mission assisted Port Isabel High School, which was adversely impacted by a tornado in May 2023.

The training is free and open to the public.  Lunch will be provided.
