WALLER HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT KILLED IN MORNING ACCIDENT

  

A Waller High School student is dead, after being struck this morning by a car near the school.

According to authorities, the crash happened around 7:15 a.m. on Field Store Road near the high school.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office shared a tweet confirming a 15-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle.  His identity has not been released.

Deputies said the student was transported to a hospital, where he later died.

Details of the accident remain unclear at this time.

Authorities said the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

There will be grief counselors at the high school throughout the day.
