WOMAN CRITICALLY INJURED IN BRYAN HOUSE FIRE DIES

A woman who was hospitalized in critical condition after a house fire Tuesday night in Bryan has died.

Trisha Enriquez was flown to a Houston-area hospital after being rescued from the burning home on Carter Creek Parkway.  Her family confirmed her death on Thursday in an update on the GoFundMe page set up to assist them.

Enriquez’ son, Jon Paul McPeake, remains in the hospital after suffering burn injuries while pulling his family members from the home.  His wife, Brittany McPeake, made it out unharmed, and their three children, along with a fourth child, have been released from the hospital after being taken as a precaution.

The Bryan Fire Department says the cause of the fire was a faulty electrical cord.

As of this (Friday) morning, over $27,000 has been raised on the GoFundMe to help the family, which says it lost everything in the fire.  The American Red Cross in Bryan at 4244 Boonville Road is being used as a drop-off location for donations.
