ONE KILLED IN AUTO-PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT NEAR SEALY
A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle this (Monday) morning near Sealy.
The accident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Highway 36 at Peters San Felipe Road, approximately 3 miles north of the city.
According to DPS Sergeant Stephen Woodard, 95-year-old Mike Podaras of Sealy was walking westbound across the highway from Peters San Felipe Road when he was hit by a northbound 2018 Ford Escape, driven by an 18-year-old female from Sealy.
Podaras was pronounced dead at the scene.
No charges have been filed at this time.
