$2.2 MILLION IN BUILDING PERMITS ISSUED IN MARCH

  

More than $2.2 million in building permits were issued by the City of Brenham during the month of March.

A total of 33 permits were issued in March, bringing the monthly total to $2,281,786.

The largest permit issued in March was in the amount of $750,000 for a new Dollar General store, located in the 2400 block of North Park Street.

Eight permits were issued for new homes, totaling $834,268.

So far, the city has issued 156 permits this year.

While the number in permits issued for 2017 is ahead of last year’s 91 permits, this year’s total dollar amount to date of $10,244,743 is behind last year’s $12,732,983.

Glad to see some new stores on N Park St New Convenience store, Burger king and Dollar General, I also hear that the lot next to the Dollar Store is being looked into for another business Hopefully a Car Wash or maybe a Sandwich/ coffee shop.. Glad to see the people on that side of town being able to shop and dine without having to go across town, Hopefully more to follow soon.
