SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS IN DOWNTOWN BELLVILLE DECEMBER 6TH, 7TH

  

Downtown Bellville is getting ready to put on the “Official Small Town Christmas Event of Texas”.

The 37th Annual Small Town Christmas runs from next Thursday through next Saturday, with all kinds of holiday activities to mark the beginning of the Christmas season.

The celebration begins next Thursday at 6:30 p.m. with the Little Mr. and Miss Small Town Christmas Pageant, at the St. John Lutheran Church Faith Center.

Next Friday at 6 p.m., the lighting of the courthouse tree by Santa Clause will be followed by the famous Small Town Christmas Parade. There will also be caroling with the St. John Lutheran Church Choir.

Mini-Park activities begin at 6:30 p.m., including a real snow slide, an inflated activity area, petting zoo, pony rides, non-profit food and drink vendors, and performances from the Bellville High School Theater Group and Center Stage Dance Studio.

At 7:30 p.m., the Mini-Park will show “The Grinch”, and there will be pictures with Santa in the Mini-Park gazebo. A street dance with the Red Bulls will round out the evening.

Saturday will feature breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus from 8 to 11 a.m. at Newman’s Bakery, a Farmer’s Market from 9 a.m. to noon under the Jim Bishop Pavilion, and a Market Day on the courthouse square from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Bellville Brahma band will perform at 9 a.m., followed by a Christmas performance from the Bellville Flute Choir at 9:30 a.m.
