BELLVILLE FFA TAKES HOME ANOTHER STATE LEADERSHIP TITLE

  
Bellville FFA earned top placing in several categories, including first in Junior Chapter Conducting, at

Members of the Bellville FFA Chapter have returned home for the second straight year as State FFA Leadership sweepstakes champions.

The award is given to the top school for accumulating the most points during the State FFA Leadership Competition held on Friday and Saturday at Sam Houston State University.

With six teams qualifying for the finals, all of them placed in the top five.  The Junior Chapter Conducting team placed first and advances to the national competition to be held in Indianapolis in October.

The first place Junior Chapter Conducting team is made up of Darcy Luedke, Katie Schumann, Matthew Wybro, Layne Malinowski, Levi Malinowski, Shane Sturm, Maddie McCullough, Caroline Poffenberger and Katelyn Krenek.

In other results, the Junior Farm Skills team, consisting of Haley Heintschel, Gunner Chovanec, Allyson Estep and Mackenzie Schrader, placed third. 

Darcy Luedke finished fourth for Junior FFA Creed Speaking.

The Agricultural Issues and Senior FFA Quiz teams also came in fourth.  Representing the Ag Issues team was Maddie Diezi, Brooke Diezi, Stewart Poffenberger, Lauren Lassus, Mackenzie Jost and Rachael Hohlt.  The Senior FFA Quiz team includes Lauren Lassus, Rachael Hohlt, James Schumann and Emma Eckelberg, with Lydia Huebner as an alternate.

The Senior Chapter Conducting team placed fifth.  That team’s members were Lydia Huebner, Jack Luedeker, Maddie Diezi, Wesley Shackelford, Quinn Huffman, Ainsley Hancock, Jaylen Tesch and Gracie Johnson.
