CUBETTES TO HOST KLEIN CAIN IN 2020 SOFTBALL OPENER

The 2020 Brenham Cubette Softball season kicks off tonight, as the Cubettes host Klein Cain.

The Cubettes enter the new season with a drastically different team than finished the 2019 campaign.

Gone are seven starters from last year’s team, due to graduation.

There are several players returning who had significant playing time last year, including: Kramer Eschete (OF); Jenna Hardy (C); Karleigh Flisowski (P, IF); Kenliegh Mickolajchak (EH, OF); and Ella Pieper (2B).

Coach Katie Bush Roberts returns for her third season as head coach and says she’s looking forward to so many new faces on this year’s team.

Tonight’s game is set for 6:30 at Alumni Field. It can be heard live on KWHI AM 1280, FM 101.7 and www.kwhi.com.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday the Cubettes will be hosting the Annual Lead Off Classic, with game at Alumni Field and Hohlt Park. The Cubettes will play two games each day at Alumni Field, with live coverage of five of those games on KWHI.
