AUSTIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING

  

The Austin County Commissioners Court is meeting this (Monday) morning to hear an audit report of the prior year.  The accounting firm of Beyer and Company will present their audit of Austin County’s financial status for the year that ended in September of last year.

Also on the agenda for this (Monday) morning’s meeting is a presentation by Julie Overstreet of CASA for Kids.  Overstreet will discuss the Great Region 2040 plan of the Houston Galveston Area Council for CASA.  Commissioners will consider renewing the licensing agreement for “Blackboard Connect”, which notifies county residents about important events by phone.  They will also consider the 2015 holiday calendar for Austin County.

The 8:30 meeting is being held this (Monday) morning in the basement meeting room of the Austin County Courthouse in Bellville.  It will actually be adjourned and reopened at the Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office where the commissioners will discuss office space and take any appropriate action.
