BRENHAM MUSEUM EXPECTED TO REOPEN WEDNESDAY

After being shut down for nearly two weeks, the Brenham Heritage Museum is expected to reopen after being closed due to a flooded basement.

Museum director Douglas Price says that several hundred gallons of water poured into the facility’s basement Aug. 19, but no valuable artifacts were damaged.

Price says that the museum suffered no losses in their collection after quick work by curator, Cynthia Eben.

Price says they suffered only a little drywall damage, and the museum hopes to be open by Wednesday.

The water is thought to have been from the museum’s air conditioner.
