STOLEN PICKUP SET ABLAZE

  

Brenham Police have recovered a stolen pickup—but not before whoever stole it set the truck on fire.

Officer Hunter Andras was called out to a vehicle fire in a pasture in the 4700 block of Hwy 105, Thursday morning.

The Fire department arrived on the scene and said that the vehicle was totally engulfed.

It was later identified as a 2004 Ford F 150.

The registered owner said the truck had been parked in his driveway in the 600 block of Baylor St. the night before. The victim said he had locked the truck but added that he did keep a spare key in the truck’s console.

The case is under investigation.
