The plan was put into effect at the school a second consecutive unsatisfactory rating from the Texas Education Agency.
Navasota ISD Supt. Rory Gesch says the school missed one of the benchmarks by only a small amount. He says further that this does not mean that all the current teaching staff will be gone during the next school year. Gesch expects some of the teachers to be rehired.
One teacher was concerned because having a non-renewal on your record hurts when you are searching for another job.
The non-renewal notices will be discussed during a meeting of the Navasota School board on March 5th.
