ASSAULT ARRESTS MADE OVER THE WEEKEND

  

Two Brenham residents have been arrested on assault charges in two separate cases this weekend.

20-year old Randy Wayne Johnson is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Friday night, around 9:40, Sergeant Justin Schiller responded to the area of Matilda Street, in reference to a report of a person with a weapon that had threatened someone.

The caller reported that Johnson had been trying to fight him and was near his residence.  The caller stated that he grabbed a 2x4 for his protection and Johnson went to the trunk of his vehicle and retrieved a weapon, then threatened to kill him.

Schiller reports that Johnson fled the scene and was stopped a short time later. The weapon turned out to be a pellet gun.

Johnson faces charges of: Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Driving while license invalid w/ previous convictions.

Then, just after midnight, Officer Jonathan Phipps responded to the 100 Block of E. Val Verde St., in reference to a reported assault.

Caller reported that 40-year old Stefanie Nacole Ondrias assaulted three different people at that location.

The caller reported that Ondrias allegedly struck her husband in the face with an open hand, and also struck two other individuals that had attempted to defuse the situation.

Ondrias was arrested and charged with:  Assault causes physical contact with a family member and two counts of Assault physical contact.
