AUSTIN CO. 4H YOUTH COMPETE IN DISTRICT 11 SPRING SPECTACULAR

  

Twenty-four Austin County 4-H members competed at the District 11 Spring Spectacular held at Northside Baptist Church in Victoria, Texas on April 8th & 9th. All members brought home at least 1 award! Bucket beats 1
Bucket Beats: (L to R) Regan Krenek, Madison Makowsky, Blake Makowsky, Hudson Ham, Emily Lewis, Kyle Peschel and Carson Peschel Took 1st with their bucket drumline routine and were the talk of the competition.
Hudson Ham 1
Hudson Ham competed in both the Share The Fun event with the Bucket Beats drumline and Educational Presentations winning 1st in both categories.
David Lews 1
David Lewis brought a smile to everyone’s faces and won 2nd which qualified him for state with his musical number, “Drivin’ My Life Away.”
Alyssa Hale 1
Alyssa Hale blew the judges away and won 1st with her vocal performance, “Rollin’ in the Deep.”
Reid Gabe Canute Janish1
Reid, Gabriel and Canute Janish impressed the audience with their poise as they won 2nd and qualified for state with their Educational Presentation titled, “The Future of Agriculture.”
Beef Quiz Bowl 1
Beef Quiz Bowl Teams: (Back Row) William Diezi, Hunter Spacek, Dalton Kasper, Hunter Schumann (Front Row) Canute Janish, Airystin Wariner, Samantha Diezi, Gabby Eskew, Mackenzie Burke, Faith Martin and Jenna Horak Have studied very hard to learn all they can about beef cattle and took 2nd & 3rd place in the Senior division, qualifying for state. The Juniors made it to the finals and took 2nd.
Blake and Madison 1
Blake & Madison Makowsky both competed in the Fashion Show and placed 2nd in both of their categories in their respected divisions.
