BLINN BOARD TO GET CLEAN AUDIT

Blinn College has once again received a clean audit, according to a report to be presented to the Board of Trustees tonight in Brenham.

The audit includes a comprehensive report of all funds and accounts of the College District for the 2014 and 2015 fiscal years.

Blinn undergoes an independent audit each year in accordance with College policy and has received clean reports every year since 1989.

The board is also expected to approve plans for a new campus scheduled to open in Bryan in 2017. Comprehensive plans were originally viewed at the board’s Dec. 15 meeting, and call for the development of 95 acres located at 851 N. Harvey Mitchell Parkway.

Blinn plans for the site to host 15,000 students as a complement to its campus located on Villa Maria Road.

The additional campus will allow Blinn to develop more science, technology, engineering and mathematics offerings and expand its workforce, technical, research and health-related education programs.

Tonighht's board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on the third floor of the Brenham campus Administration Building at 802 Green St.
