BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT

  

The Brenham Fire Department on Sunday around 3:30pm was dispatched for a grass fire behind the train depot along the railroad tracks.

Upon arriving on the scene, the BFD found a small pile of leaves burning between the railroad tracks, and extinguished the fire.

Also on Sunday around 7:20pm, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a residential structure fire.

BFD responders found the fire was grease burning on a gas grill. The burning rill was close to the residence, causing concern. The homeowner extinguished the fire and removed the propane fuel tank from the grill before the BFD arrived.

Responders checked the grill and no further action was taken.
