BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
On Monday around 1:15pm, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to 4757 Elhart Lane for Automatic Mutual Aid with Meyersville VFD for a Grass Fire.
Responders extinguished less than 1 acre and a small 4x8 outbuilding that was burning in a rural residential area.
The fire accidentally started from flying embers from a garbage burn barrel.
Also on Monday around 5:30pm, the Brenham Fire Department was dispatched for a residential automatic fire alarm at 1310 Higgins Street.
The first arriving unit cancelled all responders when he discovered the cause of the smoke was a BBQ pit in the back yard.
