BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO WEEKEND BURNING CALL

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to a call to a possible illegal burning inside the city limits at the intersection of Tom Green St. and South Park St .on Sunday.

Upon arrival, the BFD found the homeowner burning a pile of leaves and a tree stump. BFD advised the homeowner of the city code of no burning, and had the homeowner extinguish the fires.

Also on Sunday, the fire department responded to 4175 St. Highway 36 N. for a report of a gas spill. Upon arrival, the BFD found a very small spill of gasoline on the ground next to the gas pump. BFD units cleaned the small spill and returned to service.
