BRENHAM P.D. LOOKING INTO THEFT & BURGLARY

  

Brenham Police are investigating a theft and a burglary from over the weekend.

Saturday, just before 6:00 p.m., Officer Sierra Newell responded to the Knights Inn in the 200 block of Highway 290 East in reference to a theft.

The caller said he had several pieces of jewelry missing from his hotel room. He said he had left two rings and a necklace on the table and when he returned it was missing.

The jewelry was worth approximately $6,000.

Sunday afternoon, around 3:30, Sgt. Kelvin Raven responded to Allen’s Automotive in the 500 block of S. Market in reference to the burglary of a building.

The caller said someone had forced entry into the building and took an old cash register worth approximately $200.

Both incidents are under investigation.
