CUBETTES TAKE ON TOMBALL IN VITAL 19/5A TILT
The Brenham Cubettes volleyball team faces a vital matchup tonight in their bid for a playoff berth.
The Cubettes (23-20/7-5) host Tomball (24-18/7-5) in a game that will go a long way toward determining who will still be playing this time next week.
With just two matches left in the regular season, only Magnolia West (10-2) has clinched one of the four playoff berths from District 19/5A.
Tomball Memorial comes into tonight’s play all alone in second in the district at 9-3, while Magnolia is part of the three-way tie with Brenham and Tomball at 7-5.
In the first half of district play, Tomball defeated the Cubettes on the Lady Cougars home floor, 3-1.
The Cubettes close out their district and regular season schedule at home to Magnolia West next Tuesday.
Tonight’s game starts at 6:00 at Brenham High School.
