CUBS TO FACE TOUGH EPISCOPAL KNIGHTS TONIGHT

The Brenham Cubs will face their final and sternest test before kicking off district play, when they host Houston Episcopal, Friday night.

The Cubs are 2-0, with wins over Westside (39-6) and Elgin (21-20).

Cubs Head Coach Glen West says the team is coming along well, but still has a long way to go…

The Knights, who are also 2-0 feature an extremely talented team…

Among the most prolific of the Knights’ players are defensive tackle Marvin Wilson (6’4”, 335 lbs., uncommitted) and offensive tackle Walker Little (6’8”, 305 lbs., Auburn), along with three wide receivers who are all drawing interest from major colleges.

For the Cubs, it’s the last dress rehearsal before the District 20/5A opener, Friday Sept. 23rd at home to Magnolia West.

Coach West says he needs to see several things from his team as district play draws closer…

Friday is also Blue Bell Appreciation Night, with Blue Bell Ice Cream for all in attendance.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 at Cubs Stadium.  The game can be heard live on KWHI, www.kwhi.com and on the KWHI App, beginning with the pre-game show at 7:00.
