DRIVER GIVES PD OFFICER A THUMBS UP INSTEAD OF PULLING OVER.

A 22-year old driver learned a lesson on what to do when a police officer activates his lights to pull over.

Lt. Trey Gully of the Brenham police department was on patrol just past 11am Thursday when he saw a passenger car make an unsafe lane change in front of a slow driver, in the eastbound lane of 290 east.  Gully put on the lights to stop the driver but he continued and gave the officer a thumbs up sign.  Lt. Gully continued the pursuit and the driver gave him another thumbs up.

The driver, Vidrick Earl Britton finally stopped and told Gully he was going to the Dairy Bar, if he wanted to talk to him.  Gully wanted to talk right away, especially since Britton did not have a valid driver’s license.  Britton was arrested for the misdemeanor.
