EAST TOM GREEN STREET CONSTRUCTION BEGINS MONDAY

  

The City of Brenham is reminding drivers that East Tom Green Street will the closed to traffic beginning next week.  The city street department will be removing the roadway, repairing the base and repaving East Tom Green between Loesch Street and Loop 577.  The work is scheduled to begin Monday next week and continue until the first day of school August 16th.

During the time of construction, both the Blue Bell Aquatic Center and the Boys and Girls Club will be closed.  The Aquatic Center does plan to open from 4 to 7 pm each evening.  This section of roadway is heavily traveled during the school year by parents and school busses.  Vehicular traffic through the construction area will be very limited during daytime hours.
