FIFTY FATHERS & SONS SUMMIT THIS SATURDAY

  

A group of Washington County African-American citizens and local officials will be trying to address local concerns this weekend.

A Fifty Father & Sons Summit is set for tomorrow (Saturday) morning in downtown Brenham.

Event organizer and President of the Washington County Ministerial Alliance, Reverend Randy Wells, says the event will begin with two separate discussion – one between the fathers & sons and another among the community leaders.

The two groups will then come together for a lengthy discussion of recent events and their effect locally.  Wells says this summit is an opportunity to discuss some concerns that are crucial to today’s society.

Wells says this event will allow people the opportunity to express their views in a respectful forum.

Those interested in attending must register at Faith Mission, or they will not be allowed to attend.
