Members of the State Finalist Brenham Cubs football team, whose cars were vandalized while they played for the state championship have gotten a big helping hand.

Eleven Cub players' cars were broken into.

Heather Thielemann, of Brenham GameChangers, says the organization paid out over five-thousand dollars to help the players.

Thielemann says donations to GameChangers have helped pay out the full amount of $5294 to the students who turned in their receipts.

The payment covers out-of-pocket expenses for the replacement parts and repairs that were not covered by insurance.

In all, 11 vehicles were broken into while the team faced Aledo in the State Championship game in Arlington, December 21st.

No arrests have been made.  Brenham Police continue their investigation.

Thielemann says GameChangers would like to thank all the people in Brenham who donated to this cause, and the organization could not have done this without them.
