GIDEONS TO HONOR LOCAL PASTORS
The Gideons, the people who put Bibles in every hotel room across the world are appreciating the pastors of Washington, Burleson, Austin and Waller counties tomorrow (Thursday) at a luncheon at the Blinn College Student Center.
Ralph Martin of the Abiding Word Lutheran Church says they want to say thank you to the area pastors and hopes they will all attend.

Martin says Michael Webber of the Houston North Gideon Camp will be the keynote speaker.
He says the Gideons do important work around the world.
The Gideons are an international organization that places over 70 million Bibles in 195 countries in 82 languages around the world. Martin says they are the missionary arm of many churches.
Thursday’s luncheon begins at 11:45am.

I think the Gideons are great ! I still have my little Bible they gave me when I was in the 5th grade in 1968. I take it hunting with me. I have to be careful with the pages but I have enjoyed it many years.
