LOCAL BURGLARIES UNDER INVESTIGATION

  

Brenham Police are investigating several burglaries of motor vehicles.

Cpl. Edward Ortega was called out to the 900 block of West Main in reference to the burglary of a vehicle, where a hand gun was stolen.

The victim said he had parked his truck in his driveway and when he went to go to work the next day he noticed the truck had been rummaged through.

The vehicle was unlocked.

The handgun is valued at approximately $600.

 

Thursday afternoon, Brenham Police were called out to a daylight burglary at Westwood Shell on Highway 290 west.

A couple told Officer Mark Pierce they were in the store for a few minutes and when they returned to their car, the passenger side window was shattered and his wife’s purse was missing.

 

Friday around noon, Officer Jose Perez responded to the 800 block of Robin Hood Rd. where a man says someone stole an expensive cooler from the back of his pickup truck.

The man says he’d parked his vehicle at the movies and someone stole his cooler, valued at around $400.

That incident is also under investigation.
