ONE DEAD IN SHOOTING NEAR PRAIRIE VIEW A&M UNIVERSITY

  

One person is dead and two others injured after a shooting near the Prairie View A&M campus early this (Saturday) morning.

According to authorities, the shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. on Dooley Street. Police say about 100 people were attending a party when someone opened fire.

Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Another person died from gunshot wounds.

Several police departments responded to the location, which is about a block away from the south side of the Prairie View A&M Campus.

Identities of the victims have not been released due to the ongoing investigation.
