SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK, HOHLT PARK
Some Shakespeare in the Park, Brenham style is coming to Hohlt Park on June 29th.
A grant from the city of Brenham arranged by attorney Steve Haley will bring a production of the Shakespearean comedy ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ at the Bobbie Morrow Dietrich Memorial Amphitheater that Sunday night, free of charge.
The play is being directed by Michael Carter, a drama teacher and director in Houston. He says this play is a delightful, funny, and intense love story about Benedict who has returned from battle and the woman, Beatrice, who he is pursuing.
Navasota will also have a production of the play at their city hall grounds on Friday the 27th and Saturday the 30th.
The Brenham production will begin at 6:30pm and should be over by 8:15.
