  1. Db, it’s all about the numbers($), an community service is a joke. With all the community service we hand out in this county, taxpayers should not be paying for any park or road maintenance. A system designed to make $, jobs, and keep criminals in a revolving door. Why do you think we lost Phelps?

    1. The law requires probation in most first time low level drug cases. Can’t change that locally!

    2. What? Chief Phelps worked for the City. Everything in your post relates to the County.

Designed to make money? Get real.

And what revolving door? I see 5 young people getting a shot at probation and one 50 year old who couldn’t abide by probation going to prison.

    3. You realize that like 90% of the people that come through felony court are indigent, meaning YOU are paying for their cases. It’s not a money-making scheme, plan, or anything of that nature. It COSTS money.

    1. Just because the cases are the same doesn’t mean anything it could also depend on previous cases and charges and if they were on probation or something of that nature.
