TUCK McLAIN BECOMES GRIMES CO. COURT AT LAW JUDGE

  

Former Grimes County District Attorney Tuck McLain is in his first week on the job as Grimes County’s first Court at Law Judge.

McLain announced back in July that he would be resigning his position as Grimes County DA to take the judgeship of the County Court at Law.  His office will handle misdemeanor criminal cases, but also civil cases.  This summer’s backlog of over 1400 pending cases in Grimes County, has grown to almost 2000.

First Assistant District Attorney Jo Ann Linzer is serving as interim DA until Governor Greg Abbott appoints someone to that position.
