ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY AT APARTMENT

  

A college student living in the Stone Hollow Apartments is reporting to police that someone knocked on his door and tried to rob him Saturday night.

The would be victim said he answered a knock on the door at 8:22pm Saturday and could see an African-American man wearing a red bandana waiting on the other side. The man appeared to have a handgun and intent on robbing him.  The student then refused to let the potential assailant in.  The would be robber then tried to get into the back end of the apartment.   He left, however. 

The student told police he thought they were trying to rob him because he had just received financial aid and had posted the fact on instagram.
