Brenham High School students Edin Inestroza and Estefania Rivera have been recognized by the University Interscholastic League as Outstanding Performers at the 2019 Texas State Solo and Ensemble Vocal Solo Contest.

Of the approximately 100,000 students participating in the regional UIL music contests and the 25,000 musicians who performed at TSSEC, only 2-3% earned the distinguished honor of being recognized as an Outstanding Performer.

State Director of Music Dr. Bradley Kent in a letter to the recipients, says, “Awards of this nature do not come easily and reflect the efforts of many individuals,”

Brenham ISD Director of Choirs Amanda Seymour says her, “heart is full of pride for these gifted students.”

Seymour went on to say, it’s “a blessing to work in a district with talented students and an administration that loves and supports the arts.”
