Paige Moyle was recently named a 2019 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar. She was chosen as one of 207 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) honor society members across the nation, from among almost 900 applications.  Moyle will also receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship Program helps new PTK members cover educational costs while enrolled in associate degree programs. Scholars are encouraged to take on leadership roles by participating in PTK programs, and are selected based on scholastic achievement, community service, and leadership potential.

Moyle said, as a member of PTK, she is able to participate in community service and campus projects while getting to meet others from various departments. She said PTK is “a community-building organization”.

Moyle, a sophomore at Blinn College, is currently majoring in geology. After enrolling at Blinn as a senior dual credit student at Sealy High School, she has since taken courses at the Brenham, Bryan, and Sealy campuses.  Last year, she was a drum major in the Blinn band, and this year she is a member of the inaugural women’s golf team.

Dillon Phipps, Advisor to the Beta Alpha Chapter of PTK, said Paige’s work ethic set her apart from other applicants because she is “committed to excellence”, and “a promising leader in our community”.
