BRAZOS COUNTY MAN SHOT BY NEIGHBOR

  

A Brazos County man is was taken to College Station Medical Center after being shot at least twice by his neighbor, authorities say. 

Brazos County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Hickory Nut Lane at Woods Lane, near the Navasota River, at 6:36pm Friday for reports of a shooting. 

The victim, a man in his 40’s, was shot through the back window of his pickup. He was shot at least twice on his hand and shoulder, but was conscious and answering investigator’s questions, Chief Deputy Jim Stewart said. 

John Vaughn, 67, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, which is a second-degree felony, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
