CITY/COUNTY TO CLOSE IN OBSERVANCE OF MLK DAY

  

Local city and county offices will be closed Monday, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Government offices including Brenham City Hall, Washington County Courthouse and the Brenham Municipal Court will be closed in observance of the national holiday.

Also closed Monday will be the Pet Adoption and Animal Services offices, the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library and the Blue Bell Aquatic Center.

The Brenham & Washington County Visitors Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Regular residential and commercial trash pick up will take place as normal.  The Collection/Transfer Recycling Station will operate as normal.

The offices of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will also be closed Monday, but members can access their account information and make payments through the co-op's website at www.bluebonnet.coop.  They can also report power outages through the website, through the co-op's mobile app, or by calling 800-949-4414.  Should an outage occur, Bluebonnet personnel will be on call through the holiday to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
