POLICE SHOOT 93-YEAR OLD WOMAN IN HEARNE
Hearne police report that one of their own officers shot and killed a 93-year old woman last (Tuesday) night.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Hearne police department said Pearlie Golden died late Tuesday night at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan.
Robertson County District Attorney Coty Siegert said an officer who has been with the Hearne Police Department for about two years shot the woman on Pin Oak Street.
Siegert said two officers were at the scene at the time of the shooting and no one else was injured.
The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation in the officer involved shooting. Reports say they came to the scene at 6:36pm.
Siegert said the case will be sent to the grand jury.
