WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is now taking applications for its leadership development program.

“Leadership Washington County” is a ten-month program that trains current and future leaders from all parts of the community, with participants who are representatives of Chamber member organizations.

The program aims to develop and equip leaders in the county through hands-on experiences and learning opportunities, while promoting community awareness and engagement.

The program involves a time commitment of one day a month, and a tuition fee covering program expenses including materials, hand-outs, a custom shirt, and any special travel arrangements that may be needed.

The program schedule is subject to change to accommodate current health and safety protocols, but is tentatively set to begin September 2nd with an orientation meeting.  A graduation banquet will be held next May.

The deadline to submit applications is August 17th.  Applicants will be notified of their selection into the program by August 24th.

  1. This is a fantastic program that any person who plans on living in this County for any length of time should take.
Jane, Shea, Dawn, and everyone else at the Chamber do such a wonderful job for the city and county.

I was fortunate enough to take the class a few years ago and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

There were plenty of class mates who have lived here their entire life and did not know or realize what the county really has to offer it’s citizens, the state, and the country.

    Way to go team!
