CAR ACCIDENT LEAVES CALDWELL WOMAN DEAD, THREE CHILDREN HOSPITALIZED
A Caldwell woman was killed and three children were hospitalized following a car accident Sunday afternoon in Brazos County.
According to DPS, 53-year-old Renee Garcia was driving a pickup truck near the intersection of Highway 21 and Highway 47, just west of the Bryan city limits. Authorities say the truck hydroplaned on an overpass bridge, rode the railing, and fell on to the highway below.
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene. Three children were taken to a hospital in Bryan where they are said to be in stable condition.
The accident is still under investigation.
