GRIMES COUNTY FAIR PREMIUM SALE RESULTS

  

This weekend concludes the festivities at the 2018 Grimes County Fair at the Fairgrounds in Navasota.

The Premium Sale took place last (Thursday) night, highlighted by the winners of Wednesday’s livestock judging.

  • The Grand Champion Market Steer, shown by Austin Lavergne, was purchased by Grand Starr Cattle for $7,500.
  • PJS Hardware bought Jenna McDougald’s Grand Champion Goat for $5,750.
  • Landry Cunningham’s Grand Champion Lamb sold to the Keller Foundation and Steama Ree for $4,750.
  • The Kolkhorst Company and United Ag. and Turf purchased Hallie Eisenman’s Grand Champion Swine for $4,250.
  • Colton Kimich sold his Grand Champion Turkey to the Grimes County Farm Bureau for $3,250
  • Wyatt Kimich sold his Grand Champion Broilers to the Grimes County Poor Boys for $3,000.
  • Gabby Goudeau sold her Grand Champion Pen of Three for $10,500.

Tonight (Friday) will feature the Ranch Hand Rodeo at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Dance with Jeff Woolsey and the Dancehall Kings at 8:00.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will bring the fair to a close, featuring Mutton Bustin’ at 6:30 p.m., Bull Buck-out at 7:30, and ending with the night dance with Clayton Gardener at 9:00.  Fair passes are not valid for any events tomorrow.
