GROUP TO PRESENT CONSTITUTION READING MONDAY
Monday, local lawyers will celebrate Constitution Day with a reading of the Preamble and the Bill of Rights in downtown Brenham.
The group is encouraging the public to observe the 230th anniversary of this important day in our nation’s history by joining or attending the reading at the gazebo on the grounds of the Washington County Courthouse at 8:00 am.
On September 17th of 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time to sign the document.
The first 100 people will receive a free pocket size “U.S. Constitution & Fascinating Facts About It” courtesy of local attorney Robbie Gail Charette.
