LOCAL C.A.S.A. TO CONDUCT SHOE DRIVE

A local organization is hosting a shoe drive beginning next week.

CASA—the Court Appointed Special Advocates—for Children is looking for new and gently used shoes.

Their program, “Walk a Mile in their Shoes” officially kicks off next Thursday, (August 10).

The shoes will be shipped by Funds2Orgs to other countries to help support small businesses with minimal employees and capital.

CASA then benefits as they receive monetary donations based on the amount of shoes collected.

CASA Executive Director Deanna Warmke says shoes can be dropped off at the local office at 2309 South Day St., Must Be Heaven or Brenham Church of Christ, 2800 Victory Lane, through Nov. 8th.

Warmke also said there will be drop off locations also in the counties they serve: Austin, Colorado, Waller and Washington.

The money received from the collection will help CASA with its programs and goals.

For more information, call the local office at 277-0088 or email aa@wespeak4kids.org.
