LOCAL CANDIDATES FILE FOR REELECTION

  

Local and regional candidates continue to file for the March primaries.

U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul

U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul has announced that he will run for re-election.  McCaul is chairman of the Homeland Security Committee.  He has not yet drawn an opponent for the Republican Primary.

All four local Justices of the Peace have announced they will be running for re-election.  Douglas Zwiener, Precinct One; Douglas Cone, Precinct Two; and Ken Tofel, Precinct Three have no opponents at this time.  Precinct-Four J.P., Bill Kendall has filed for re-election.  Buddy Riddle has filed for Precinct-Four Constable.

Eric Berg has also announced he will seek re-election as Washington County Court at Law judge.

And, Tammy Brauner has filed for reelection as Washington County district clerk.

The filing deadline is 6 p.m., Monday, Dec. 11th.
