Normangee city officials will reportedly meet to discuss a new Police Chief.
According to the Normangee Police Department, the city will hold a special meeting to discuss how to proceed in the hiring process. No date has been set for that meeting.
Former Chief Charles Herford was arrested last Thursday, following a standoff in his home where shots were fired.
Herford was released from the Leon County Jail, last Thursday after posting bond.
He faces deadly conduct and evading arrest in a motor vehicle charges.
