SEVERAL CONTESTED RACES ON REPUBLICAN PRIMARY BALLOT

  

The deadline for filing for the March primaries has passed with several contested races on the local Republican ballot.

The Washington County Judge race will pit Judge John Brieden against challenger John Durrenburger.

Washington County Commissioner Precinct-2 incumbent Luther Hueske will face challenger Candace Bullock.

The Precinct-Four Constable race will have Greg Rolling facing H.C. “Buddy” Riddle.  Incumbent Mark Kramer is retiring from the post.

In the race for County Court-at-Law Judge, incumbent Judge Eric Berg will face local attorney Robbie Gail Charette.

A number of current incumbents will run unopposed in the March primary, including:

Precinct-4 CSounty Commissioner, Joy Fuchs; County Clerk, Beth Rothermel; County Treasurer, Peggy Kramer; District Clerk, Tammy Brauner; And all four County Justices of the Peace: Precinct 1, Douglas Zwiener; Precinct 2, Douglas Cone; Precinct 3, Ken Tofel; and Precinct 4, Bill Kendal.

The Democratic Party in Washington County has not yet released its list of Primary candidates.

The Primary is set for Tuesday, March 6th.
