THE LATEST UPDATE FROM WASHINGTON CO. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

  

The Office of Emergency Management for Washington County and The City of Brenham has issued the latest update on the catastrophic devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

The Washington County area is now in the “recovery phase” and is taking action to help those in need in and around Washington County including community partners that have shared their plan to help those in need, including:

  • Brenham Community Donation Drive at Alton Elementary Staff Parking Lot, Aug. 29-Sept. 1
  • Faith Mission - Neighbors Helping Neighbors - Register to volunteer or learn how to make donations of cash, gift cards, personal and household items at www.faithmission.us

Washington County has been designated by the state as a “pass-through” area and are currently routing people to shelters in larger areas that have additional resources to get evacuees assistance they need.

Washington County and The City of Brenham Office of Emergency Management is preparing the community to stage first responders.

Dallas at the “ Mega Shelter”- Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, 650 South Griffin St.
