THURSDAY NIGHT BRINGS SNOW/ICE TO BRENHAM

  

Many Brenham residents were surprised to see snow falling in Brenham Thursday evening.  The wintry mixture of snow, freezing rain and sleet fell on the area beginning about 7:00 pm.  By 9:00 PM over an inch had fallen in some areas, although the ground temperature is to warm for it to accumulate.  The forecast calls for the snow and freezing rain to end near midnight and the temperature to stay just above the freezing mark.  Friday the clouds are forecast to clear off, with sunny skies and a high near 50 in the afternoon.
