BRENHAM FIREMAN’S FIESTA SATURDAY AT FIREMAN’S TRAINING CENTER
Plenty of people will be making their way to the Fireman’s Training Center in Brenham this weekend for the 50th Annual Fireman’s Fiesta.
Saturday evening, the public is invited from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to fill up on all the sirloin steak and sausage they can eat.
Assistant Fire Chief Brian Scheffer says Saturday’s forecast calls for hot weather, and encourages people to let the fire department do the cooking this weekend. He says there will also be some pretty neat items in the auction.
Scheffer says the event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the fire department, ever since it started 50 years ago.
Tickets for the Fireman’s Fiesta are $13 in advance and $15 at the door. They can be purchased at the fire station, and from members of the fire department, as well as Robert’s Service Station, K&M Grocery, and Dan’s Meat Market.
