VIDEO – BRENHAM HOUSING AUTHORITY ENTERS PHASE 3 OF UPGRADES

  

The Brenham Housing Authority is about to enter Phase 3 of their upgrade program with the construction of Fairview Terrace.  About 5 years ago, the Housing Authority looked at all of their units and decided that many had reached their life expectancy.  With HUD funds being reduced each year, the Authority needed another way to secure the funds needed.  They decided on the Tax Credit program. Phase one was the rehabilitation of 66 housing units in Northview Village.  Phase 2 was the construction of the recently completed 80 units of Park Lane Villas on Hosea Street.  Phase 3 will now be the construction of the 80 unit Fairview Terrace complex that will be located behind the Hasskarl Community Center on Blue Bell Road.
